Google Chrome and My Initial Thoughts
So today Google released their web browser to the masses called Chrome. It looks really slick so far and very fast for me. You can download it here if you’re interested. So far, I have to say that I am very impressed. I have noticed a few quirks but overall, it’s a very good browser.
It only works on Windows machines right now but versions for Macs and Linux are coming soon according to Google so all can be happy. So if you haven’t yet, check it out at Google Chrome. You’ll be glad you did.

“We are so, so happy with Google Chrome,” mumbled Mozilla CEO John Lilly through gritted teeth. “That most of our income is from Google has no bearing on me making this statement.” – http://notnews.today.com/?p=57
I like it. Fast and reliable. Some javascript issues, but overall it is a nice browser. I like the way it handles popups better than others and some of the other unique functions it has like the multiple windows in one.
As a browser there are some accolades – it’s fast, clean, and key functionality (such as how downloads are handled) has been well thought out.
But… it’s more than a browser to Google. I’m interested to see how they create need for a product that there really isn’t need for right now.
